If you’re just starting your first cleanse, or you’ve done this a dozen times, here are some pointers and ideas to help you along your journey:
- When you pick them up, make sure you keep them refrigerated, or get them refrigerated as soon as possible. If you’re not going right home after you pick them, bring a little cooler with you so you can store them until you can get to a refrigerator. This will ensure the freshness of the juice.
- We write 1-6 on top of the bottles so you know what order to drink them in.
- Make a series of alarms in your phone every 2 hours (approx) to alert you when to start drinking the next juice.
- We always suggest that if you regularly consume caffeine, to continue to do so…for the sake of everyone else around you. We just suggest that if you’re a coffee drinker that you cut out the dairy/sugar/etc and drink it as black as possible during your cleanse. Espresso shots are a great alternative to get your caffeine fix if you’re not a fan of drinking black coffee.
- (Gross Alert) Don’t be shocked if you see the redness from the beet juice make a “second appearance”. It’s totally natural for it to transfer into your digestive system and make its way “out”. People often confuse it with blood. (*NOTE: if you happen to experience any internal pain and are genuinely concerned about internal bleeding, please seek medical help. We’re not doctors. We just make the juice.)
- We worked with an ayurvedic nutritionist back in 2014 to create the recipes and the order of the juices to give you the best bang for your buck. Kickstarting your metabolism is the goal of the cleanse.
- Make sure you drink plenty of water in between the juices to prevent dehydration. Yes, this is a liquid diet, but you can still get dehydrated. Stay hydrated!
- We have people that don’t eat any food during their 3 day cleanse, and we have people who need the extra calories to help them function throughout the day. There is no “right way” to do it. It should be an enjoyable experience, not painful and horrible.
